Lurid Talk - Podcast

Lurid Editions is pleased to present Lurid Talk, our very own podcast!

Lurid Talk focuses on the literary qualities, publishing histories and cultural afterlives of Lurid Editions titles.

In our first episode, publisher D-M Withers discusses our fist publication, Chase of the Wild Goose with afterword author Nicola Wilson, Associate Professor of Book and Publishing Studies at the University of Reading and co-director of the Centre for Book Cultures and Publishing.

We zone in on the publishing history of Chase of the Wild Goose, a book first published by Virginia and Leonard Woolf’s Hogarth Press in 1936.

Nicola also discusses wider research into the Hogarth Press archives, which are held in the Archive of British Printing and Publishing at the University of Reading, and her work with the Modernist Archives Publishing Project.

This is the first in a series of episodes focused on Chase of the Wild Goose.

The next episode featuring Jana Funke will drop in March, with further episodes released monthly thereafter.
